Greg is a Southern California native and 2003 graduate of Loara High School, where he participated and exceled in JROTC under Ret. Lt Col. Robert Mabry. In March 2004, Greg enlisted in the Army Reserve in response to the attacks on 9-11 and to support the War on Terrorism. Greg’s patriotism, respect for others, and commitment to the safety of both his family and Country, continue to influence his life choices today.
Greg deployed from Ft. Bliss, TX, to Iraq under the banner of “Operation Iraqi Freedom” from May 2006 to September 2007, where he earned the rank of Sergeant while in the field. He deployed again from August 2009 to October 2010, to Kuwait, to support “Operation Enduring Freedom.” Greg received the ARCOM (twice), ARCAM, Expert Marksman, Expert Grenadier, Expert Mark19, and Soldier of the Quarter, in addition to other honors. During his tours, Greg served in the capacity of Training NCO, Safety NCOIC, and Supply NCO, in addition to other duties.
Greg is an avid runner, enjoys computers/gadgets, loves spending time with his nephew and niece, and frequently hangs out with his friends. In addition to being a dedicated Soldier and extraordinary young man, Greg is a wonderful son, grandson, brother, nephew, brother-in-law, uncle and friend, who is loved and appreciated very much.
